This stunning Chinese watercolor of birds and botanicals on silk would make a gorgeous addition to your art collection. The subtle and sweet color palette and hand painted details in the piece are so special. This is a chance to own a bit of history!
“For millennia, silk painting has helped shape China’s rich visual history. This exquisite practice pairs two of Chinese culture’s most celebrated artistic traditions—sinuous brushwork and tactically spun textiles—making it an exceptionally important craft. Beyond its role as a culture bearer, however, silk painting is prized for its ethereal aesthetic, which artists have continued to adopt and adapt since ancient times.” - mymodernmet.com
Beautifully framed in a gold faux bamboo frame and ready to hang.
20” tall x 24” wide framed
The art is in good vintage condition. There are a few wrinkles present in the silk but we find this adds to the character of the piece. The frame has some minor surface wear.
