Vintage Brass and Copper Perched Macaw Parrot

Sorry, this item has sold.

This amazing mixed metal perched macaw/parrot is a beautiful example of vintage craftsmanship. Designed by Sergio Bustamante, a famous Mexican artist and sculpture. While Bustamante's works initially focused on painting and paper mâché, his talents let, in the mid-1970's, to the creation of sculptures in wood and metals, many reflecting animal themes.

An incredible life-like design that is sure to steal the show in your home!

The metal wrapped perch ring is 15.5" tall (including the top loop) x 14" wide

The parrot is designed to perch by sitting on a metal rod that fits in a whole at the bottom of the parrot.

Overall the piece is in great vintage condition with beautiful natural patina. One foot has a break in it but this is not noticeable when hanging.
