Italian-born artist Athos Menaboni arrived in Georgia in the late 1920's and remained active until his death at the age of ninety-four. He had a life-long passion of painting birds from life in their natural habitats. He developed a technique that used turpentine to thin the oil in order to paint in layers on paper and give the feathers translucency, detail, and depth. Today Menaboni is best known for his numerous paintings of more than 150 different species of birds
Menaboni's owl would be the perfect addition to your art collection!
